Who is running whom?
When you wake up in the morning, does the day belong to you, or does it belong to the sum of obligations and notifications and expectations that have been accumulating since before you fell asleep?
Most people, when they think about this carefully, realize the answer has shifted without their noticing. Not through any single decision, but through accumulation. Over time the life came to be run by its own momentum rather than by anything chosen.
The life that flows naturally, without excessive force, in alignment with its own nature — that life does not feel like resistance. The life that runs you often does.
One question worth sitting with: what in your life would you choose again, if you were choosing from scratch today?
